Michael Morin has worked in the mortgage banking industry his entire professional career. In 2006, he started his own mortgage company in partnership with the Healy Group, specializing in all types of mortgage transactions both locally and in various areas of the country.
Mike feels his work as a mortgage consultant is a true vocation. He loves counseling his clients about how to use their mortgage as a liquid financial instrument. He’s also a big proponent of the no cost (truly free) mortgage.
Mike earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame. He and his wife, Kristen Carlson, who he met while he was at Notre Dame and she was at St Mary’s, have four biological children: Courtney, Patrick, Emily, and Joshua. In 2009, the family adopted two children from Ethiopia: Geta, born in 2000, and Tamene, born in 2007. Mike is very involved in his six children’s activities and his church.
Mike believes in the importance of charitable giving and supports causes and organizations close to his heart, including:
Outreach for World Hope
Bethany Miracle Village
Food For the Poor
Children’s Home Society and Family Services
Habitat for Humanity
St. Jude’s Childrens’ Hospital
St. Joseph Catholic Church, South Bend
After his family, his second greatest love in life is basketball, both playing (although he will say as a 50-something plays) and watching it. Mike is a huge Steph Curry fan.
